But... I was talking to Lindsay the other week about daily miracles. So I'm reporting about the amazing things I saw during my whole mission. I just hadn't been paying attention and seeing that they really are miracles.

Tuesday: We had gone to all the plans  we had planned and I didn´t know where to go. I remembered that we had left Book of Mormons with some members to give to their friends, so we went to see how sister paty had done with her book of mormon. she opened the door and said, Elderes! I have someone for you to teach! come in.  so we talked and she hadn't given the BoM yet but one of her friends is interested in going to church!

Wednesday: It was the missionary transmission to announce the changes. So we went to our stake center, and the sister that was going to set up the video feed couldn't make it. so quick we need to go to the other stake center.  1st miracle: there were three taxis in the taxi base next to the stake center. enough for the Zone to go to Azteca. (in a base where I had hardly ever seen taxis before) so we get to azteca a little bit late for the transmission, but President was there. So when the transmission ended we got to talk with him ask questions about the changes. And most importantly President told my companion that he is going to train! and if the sister had arrived to set up the transmission, he would've never known.

Thursday: We were teaching Veronica. A great person. really interested in the gospel, but her husband doesn't want to know anything about religion, nor does he want her to go to a church. He thinks that all churches make you feel guilty, and take your money. She said it never got to this point before but he got angry to the point of beating her. I just thought, Father, I don't know what to do. help me to know what to do. It came to my mind, "If she goes to church, her husband will be pacified" can I promise that? *confirmation from the spirit* ok then. When I promised her that, she could calm down.

Another one from thursday: We went to look for a sister and the relief society president rode by on her bike and told us that she didn't get home till later. so we went to look for some one else. While we were on our way i felt, "lets turn here. well ok. its the same that way and this way." on this street, oh what surprise! the sister we were looking for was walking home. long story short: we gave our message and her friend was there too. She was quite interested in the Plan of Salvation pamphlet because she recognized it. (dont know how) New investigator!

Saturday: We were contacting and honestly I was trying to  punish my companion, because he wasn't contacting, by walking down all the streets until he contacted someone. When we got to Sur 26, I thought, Lets go left. -no, lets go right- ok we´ll go right. (hint: the spirit said go right) So we were walking I was looking for someone to contact, and I saw an open door. So I went and touched it. (jaja spanish joke: knock in spanish is tocar which is also touch) and a young man stepped out, we taught him about Jesus Christ in the Americas and gave him a Book of Mormon and he was impressed we would gift him a book.

God is Great, sweets are good, and people are crazy. Jan. 24, 2017

Hey family, and friends.   I'm here in Mexico City, one of the biggest cities in the world. Sending greetings to all of you in different parts of the world, in a matter of seconds. Isn't the world great? Our president once asked, "who invented facebook?" oh Mark Zuckerburg. no. "God."  umm... but then I thought about it. Ok maybe mark zuckerburg was the one who physically created facebook, as have others physically made the inventions of the TV, CPU, Internet, etc. but God gives inspiration to all men to help us progress. All of the things in the world were created by God. some children asked us the other day, when we were talking about the creation of the world, "How did God create technology?" and I laughed. they have lived their whole lives with high definition screens and touch screens. the USB was created when I was their age. But God inspires men to make his work go forth. Use the technology God created  for us to share your light, let you light so shine...

sometimes as missionaries, people come to us with a bunch of scriptures trying to confuse us, and prove we are wrong. we find in the scriptures that the spirit of contention is not of God. and sometimes it is hard not to fall into contention, but when it happens, we try to leave as soon as we can. This week we had an intersting experience. We are teaching a family of Christians. they are interested and have a lot of really good questions. ; something that happens a lot is that when a family member that is devout to their religion hears that they are listening to us, they "just want to listen to what we have to say" and start to cite all the scriptures they know. We were able to respond all their questions without getting the anxious feeling that you normally get when someone is attacking the Gospel. At first our investigator was leaning to what his mom was saying, because it is their beleifs. but as we explained the reasons why we Do baptisms for the dead/have prophets he understood, and said, "mom, they make sense. I have asked this to many people and they haven`t been able answer my questions sensibly." -Woo!  truely as the scriptures say, "Behold, I will go before you and be your rearward; and I will be in your midst, and you shall not be confounded." (D&C 49:27)

The Church is True, The Book is Blue

The Book of MOOOOOOORMOOONNNNnnnnnn

Wooo! this week we had Zone training meeting and Zone conference that really boosted my animo. We talked about The Book of Mormon. How God promised Enoch about the restoration and the Book of Mormon:

  60 And the Lord said unto Enoch: As I live, even so will I come in the last days, in the days of wickedness and vengeance, to fulfil the oath which I have made unto you concerning the children of Noah;
 61 And the day shall come that the earth shall rest, but before that day the heavens shall be darkened, and a veil of darkness shall cover the earth; and the heavens shall shake, and also the earth; and great tribulations shall be among the children of men, but my people will I preserve;
 62 And righteousness will I send down out of heaven; and truth will I send forth out of the earth, to bear testimony of mine Only Begotten; his resurrection from the dead; yea, and also the resurrection of all men; and righteousness and truth will I cause to sweep the earth as with a flood, to gather out mine elect from the four quarters of the earth,  

The righteousness was Jesus Christ and The Book of Mormon came from the earth to testify of Jesus Christ.

And the Book of Mormon is the way that God will flood the earth because He promised Enoch that He never again would flood the earth with water.

and President also told us about joseph in Egypt, then I understood that its a Type and Shadow of the last days. Joseph will feed the rest of the Tribes of Israel. 

We need to help people see the importance of the Book of Mormon. Why is the Book of Mormon important to you? I want responses. But tag me on your post in a social media website and I will see it in a few weeks. I dont want responses to my email. 

I know the Book of Mormon is true. If we want answers, The Book of Mormon has the answers, and God has them too. We need to ask of God our questions, and search in the scriptures. God has told me through the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon is the truth, and The Church of Jesus Christ is the church of Jesus Christ. We truely can have happiness through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. He can take away our fears and our pain. I know its true because I have felt it. "And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual" Mosiah 2:41

Week #IDK lost count Jan. 10, 2017

This week was interesting. Not much to say right now, but I'll tell you in a few weeks. We are all fine and we were always safe. The only thing was that we were bored. There are only so many things a missionary can do in his apartment. Just a little bit scary. I don't know how much I can say. 

Anyways, we are getting back on track. People are appearing once again, and we are going to start progressing with some people now. I hope we can find our recent convert Arturo, because he hasn't shown up to church, or in his house for that matter.

Thanks for the birthday wishes and we will celebrate when I get home. (for those of you who will be in California at least)

Every time I really bear my testimony, I get a confirmation of the Holy Spirit that it is true. I am so grateful for the missionaries that decided that they should teach the restoration to an active family, and extend the invitation to pray in that very moment. Thanks to them, I know the book of Mormon is true. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God who restored His church. And I know that this work is the work He would have me do.

A Thousand Words or So Jan. 3, 2017

Hey sorry i was reading everybody's letters and now i don't have any more time to write, so here are the pictures from these weeks. (pictures are worth a thousand words right?)

​a brother from my ward was the one who covered moroni with gold. he gave us a gold leaf that he uses. it's really delicate. we´ll see if it's still in two pieces when i get home.
